Using The Candles

Before using your candle each time place it on a stable, level surface away from where it may be knocked over. Ensure that the surface is heat proof and keep away from flammable objects and avoid draughts. Check your candle's glass isn't damaged and remove any dirt or debris from the surface of the candle. Check the wick is no longer than 7mm. If it is, trim it to the right length. Soy candles burn with a smaller flame than harmful petroleum candles. If the flame becomes too small or goes out because of the wick being too small, which can happen with any candle, extinguish the candle and carefully pour out a little wax from the melt pool into a safe container so as to expose the wick to a 7mm length. You can return the excess wax to the candle later.

We recommend a maximum of four hours in any one session. When you have finished, the most effective way to put out the flame is to use a knife tip or a similar long thin piece of metal, and push the wick under the surface of the liquid wax and pull it straight back up again. This primes the wick for next time and stops smoke from forming. Leave to cool before touching or moving. For a fresher scent we also recommend placing the candle in a contained area, the box it came in is ideal. As the oils cure in the wax when not being used this also helps for a stronger scent that is beneficial to you.

As pure essential oils can have a physiological effect, we strongly advise anyone who is pregnant or suffering from asthma, high blood pressure, epilepsy or any condition you may think may be affected please consult with your Doctor before making any purchase. In all cases pure essential oil candles should be restricted to a four hour session.
